9 Days Maasai Land Adventure Trek With Maasai Warriors To Mountain Of God

DAY 1: PICK UP

Pick up from Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to Arusha Center Tourist Inn hotel for overnight B/B  (self contained double bed rooms with hot shower and mosquito net). 1200 miters about sea level

DAY 2: LONGIDO MOUNTAIN TREKS

Pick up from Arusha Center Inn hotel at 9.00am and drive 2 hours to Longido Maasai village. Then guided with Maasai warriors walk 5hours with lunch packets to the refuge of birds like weavers, sun birds, barbets,  turacos, buffalo weavers etc, walk through the foothills of mount Longido to see deferent traditional medicine plants species, on the clear days you can see more than 200kms and view all the northern Tanzania mountains. This trek will take more than 7 hours. At night Maasai warriors slaughter a goat and show you how they make the traditional barbeque at the same time enjoy the Maasai traditional dance and eat the barbeque Dinner and overnight at Longido campsite, campfire available, enjoy the stories telling with Maasai elders.

DAY 3: LONGIDO TO MURIATATA (BIG ROCKS)

After early breakfast guided with Maasai warriors and Maasai Old man, trek through Maasai plains, 6 hours with lunch packets to Muriatata (Big Rocks). In this area clients expected to see Giraffe, gerenuk, Antelopes, small bucks and different species of birds. Pass to Maasai Bomas (families), enjoy nice view of Northern mountains e.g. Mt Kilimajaro, Mt Meru, Mt Meru, Oldonyolengai Maasai Mountain of God.  In the evening see how the Maasai women’s milking a cattle. Dinner and overnight near Maasai Boma , campfire available. Story telling with Maasai elders and Maasai warriors.

DAY 4: MURIATATA – KITUMBEINE

After breakfast accompanies with Maasai warriors guides and donkeys carry the drinking water, food and your luggage’s trek 6 to 7 hours, cross Ngorongoro Northern highland natural forest, enjoy hill walks and view different species of Flora and Fauna, and view the beautiful landscape of Lake Eyasi basing. Trekking through the forest you will enjoy viewing different species of plants and butterflies, birds, flowers etc, dinner and overnight under Magaruti Mountain at pillar wood camp. Campfire available.

DAY 5: KITUMBEINE - NAIKARA MAASAI VILLAGE

After breakfast guided with Maasai warriors and Maasai Old man trek 6 hours to Naikara Maasai Village. Have a magnificent views of Mt Kilimanjaro, Mt Meru, Mt oldonyolengai and Mt Longido. And birds species and small bucks, dinner and overnight at Naikara Maasai village – Campfire available. Story telling by Maasai elders and Maasai warriors.

DAY 6: NAIKARA - GILAI BOMBA MAASAI VILLAGE - LAKE NATRON

After early breakfast drive to Gilai Bomba Maasai village, here you can find the Shops and make shooping, talk with people and proceed driving half the way to Lake Natron for picnic lunch.

After lunch trek 4 hours with Maasai warrior guide to Lake Natron campsite, at the foothill of   Oldonyo Lengai, Maasai mountain of God.

Ha a dinner and rest for few hours. At  3.00pm walk to Lake Natron to view the large flocks of Flamingoes and other species of water birds,visit  Munge thundering water falls, then walk back to Sengo campsite for dinner and overnight. Campfire available. Story telling with Maasai elders and Maasai warriors.

DAY 7: CLIMB OLDONYO LENGAI, MAASAI MOUNTAIN OF GOD

Wake up at midnight hours, have a cup of coffee, pick your picnic lunch boxes, get to the car and drive to the starting point of climbing Mt Oldonyolengai- MAASAI MOUNTAIN OF GOD.  Arrive to the summit at  5.30am enjoy the sunset and the  beautifully views of the Serengeti plains, Maasai plains, Mt.Kilimanjaro and Mt. Longido and enjoy the active volcanic eruption, then walk 2 hours  down to  your car  and drive to the Sengo campsite for lunch. After lunch drive to Jambo campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast inter Lake Manyara National Park for full day game drive with your picnic lunches. This superb scenic park, is set around the Lake is most famous for its tree – climbing Lions. Late evening drive to Jambo campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro descend in to the Crater floor for 7 hrs game viewing with picnic lunch boxes  in Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is the one of the true wonders of nature and home of Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, flamingoes and many other species. Late evening drive back to Arusha.
