7 Days Luxury Safari At Arusha, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater & Tarangire

DAY 1: ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Pick up from your Hotel in Arusha at 9.00am, drive to Arusha National Park, a short 40 minute drive from Arusha town. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora, which cannot fail to impress. Hollywood also chose this region to film the movie “Hatari” in which Hardy Kruger starred alongside the legendary John Wayne.

At the Momella Gate, an armed ranger will be waiting to accompany you on a walking safari that will give you the chance to experience the wildlife up-close. Only a few other National Parks in Tanzania give you such an opportunity and it is something that should not be missed.

After a delicious picnic lunch we continue our safari within the Arusha National Park. After plenty of time to observe the wildlife, we will drive to Silver Palm Hotel for overnight. Bed and breakfast

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Pick up from Mt Meru Hotel at 9.00am, driver tour guide, who will drive you with picnic lunch to Lake Manyara National Park (About 135Klm), home to giant fig trees, acacia woodlands, mahogany trees and grassy flood plains. The contrasts of this area are simply breathtaking, with the open plains, huge escarpment, Soda Lake, dense woodlands, and distance volcanic peaks.

Animals such as Elephants, Hippos, Impalas, Giraffe, Warthog, Wildebeest, Blue monkeys and Buffaloes can be seen.

This Park is also home to the famous tree climbing lions and Leopards.

Lake Manyara National Park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s bird’s life with over 400 species having been recorded within the parks boundaries. Highlights include pink-hued flamingoes, herons, storks and pelicans.Dinner and overnight at Endoro Lodge.

DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Early at 6.00am have a cup of coffee and drive to MaasaiBoma where you will experience the rhythm of this nomadic tribe’s daily life. Subject to the season, witness the livestock movement in the early morning before meeting the Elders, Moran warriors and women and children with full explanations’ into the status and ranking within the families as well as their traditions and beliefs.

Then drive back to the Lodge for full breakfast. After breakfast have a game drive en-route with picnic lunch to Serengeti National Park, through Ngorongoro Conservation area. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning have a cup of Coffee proceed for sunrise game drive in Serengeti, return back to the Lodge for breakfast, After breakfast proceed for full day game viewing with picnic lunch in Serengeti Plains, home to a huge variety of animals and birds, Search among the trees and kopjes for the elusive Leopards and cheetah as well as Wildebeest Migration.

After Sunset game drive back to Serengeti Heritage Tented camp for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast have a Game viewing en-route with picnic lunches and visit to the small but very interesting Dr. Leakey Museum at Olduvai Gorge. Ascend from the plains to the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge (Crater rim) or similar.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER

After early breakfast drive to Ngorongoro, Descend 610 meters into Ngorongoro Crater floor for 6 hours game viewing with picnic lunch. Spot the endangered black Rhinos, Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Buffaloes and wildebeest and other wild animals.

Also in Ngorongoro Crater Soda Lake you will see many species of birds including Flamingos. All these animals in turn support large predators such as Lions and Leopards, and scavengers such as Hyenas and Jackals. Late afternoon drive to Endoro Lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, drive with picnic lunch to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire National Park covers 2,600 square kilometers and at dry times, the concentration of animal’s rivals that of the much better known Serengeti – the game numbers are staggering: E.g.  30,000 Zebras, 25,000 Wildebeests, 5,000 Buffaloes, 3,000 Elephants, 2,500 Maasai Giraffes and over 1,000 Fringe-eared Oryx’s (gemsbok), Predators include Lions, Cheetah and Leopards.

Also flocks of birds: E.g.  Green Wood Hoopoes, Fisher Lovebirds, white bellied go-away birds and giant kingfishers.

Late evening drive back to Arusha.
